Adrienne Konigar-Macklin

Adrienne Konigar-Macklin is Of Counsel with Olivarez Madruga. Ms. Konigar-Macklin is a public interest attorney with over 25 years of practice representing public educational agencies, cities and other municipal agencies. She has a depth of experience in education law, administrative law, civil litigation, transactional law and in representing public officials. She has been both in-house counsel and in private practice for 20 years specializing in collective bargaining and board relations. She has represented school districts in all aspects of management, including but not limited to, liability claims supervision, litigation oversight, labor negotiations, administrative proceedings, municipal litigation, police liability and litigation. She has handled special education, civil rights and other complex litigation matters including three state-wide class action lawsuits for the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Inglewood Unified School District, litigated a complex wrongful death case, among others, and represented several police agencies in wrongful death and police shooting cases. She has also represented public agencies before the Office of Civil Rights, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Public Employment Relations Board in both state and federal courts and in other dispute resolution forums.

Ms. Konigar-Macklin has also served as hearing officer, mediator and arbitrator for public school districts, cities, and other government agencies for over 20 years. She is certified as a mediator by the Strauss School of Conflict Resolution at Pepperdine University and has worked as a Los Angeles Superior Court Settlement Officer.
